Autodesk Revit 2026

Revit 2026 continues Autodesk’s BIM platform for architecture, structure and building services. This release brings many small productivity tools that save clicks every day — from creating walls out of rooms to placing views on sheets precisely — and a technology preview of much faster graphics.

What is new in Revit 2026

• Create walls from rooms or room segments, and set layer priority for walls, floors and roofs.
• Toposolids get recessed subdivisions, a new subdivision category and copy-and-paste of points and lines onto toposolids, floors and roofs.
• View to Sheet Positioning and automated placement put views exactly where they belong on sheets.
• Cranked rebar can be modelled parametrically, and steel setbacks can be removed with one global setting.
• MEP: cable type and size for non-US workflows, unified System Zones and a connector preview in the MEP Content Editor.
• Accelerated Graphics (technology preview) based on USD and Hydra for faster 2D and 3D navigation.
• Better coordination: IFC placement orientation, colour overrides for coordination models and imported CAD files in Manage Links.

Revit 2026 is the version to choose when you start new BIM projects or work with partners who already use the 2026 file format.

Keep in mind that Revit models upgraded to 2026 cannot be opened in earlier Revit versions, so it is best to use the same release as your project partners.
